Kory began his career as a Financial Advisor in 2002 with A.G. Edwards & Sons in Newport Beach, California (A.G. Edwards & Sons eventually merged with Wells Fargo Advisors). In 2009, he and his wife Carlyn moved to Walnut Creek, where Kory was the assistant branch manager in the Walnut Creek office for over three years. Kory holds the title of Managing Director – Investment Officer and is a Platinum Advisor. The Platinum Council (previously known as Premier Advisor) distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on the past year, and professionalism. Additional criteria, best practices and team structure, may also be used to determine recipients. Kory has been recognized as one of the Best in State Wealth Advisors by Forbes Magazine* (2020 & 2021) and as a Bay Area Five Star Wealth Manager** (2016-2021).

Kory received two Bachelor degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara; the first in Business/Economics and the second in Communication. In addition to many securities registrations and insurance licenses, he holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ or CFP® certification from the College for Financial Planning. This certification required the completion of extensive course work and rigorous testing in the areas of investment planning and asset management; including asset management and allocation, retirement planning, estate planning, insurance, taxation and risk management.

Away from the office, Kory and his wife Carlyn enjoy being parents to their two young sons, traveling, volunteering, coaching little league and soccer, playing golf and spending quality time with family and friends.
